Known limitations

  • Attachments require them to be present in the source file.

Where do I find the chat.db file?
On macOS it's at ~/Library/Messages/chat.db. From iPhone, extract via a full backup. [CONFIRM FEATURE]
My file isn't recognized
Check that you picked the right source (iMessage / WhatsApp / Android) and the file is a supported type: .db, .txt, .zip or .xml.

Close other browser tabs to free memory, or split into smaller date ranges.

Can I use iExport on mobile?
Yes, but large conversations run faster on a computer with more memory.
